PROGRAM INFORMATION

 

This is a graduate program in Spain for students in Art Therapy. This program offers a full immersion experience in several organizations and how they integrate different approaches to art therapy in their programs. At the same time, students will learn about the Spanish Social Services, policies of intervention and rehabilitation both, therapeutic, psychological of different populations. 

 

Students will participate in a three-week internship including placements in associations, schools or NGOs, working with refugees, immigrants, the elderly or people with special needs (children and adults). 

 

This program is developed in collaboration with different foundations, NGOs and organizations including Psicoballet Maite León, PRODIS, Down Syndrome Foundation or Fundación Tomillo among others. 

Outcomes

  • Learn about a different approach to counseling in different countries while participating in a direct immersion experience. 

  • Compare and contrast practices and experience as a way of learning and self-reflection.   

  • Discover your creative capacities and learn how to focus your energy to develop innovative sustainable ideas and solutions 

  • Learn about different institutions and organizations in Spain  

  • Learn about yourself and your future professional goals in an international context

  • Learn about the rich cultural heritage and historical highlights of Spain

Duration: 4 weeks

 

Location: Madrid & Alcala de Henares (Spain)

 

Language of Instruction: English/Spanish
