INTRO TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP
This course will introduce students to the entrepreneurial world and the start-up process. The course is divided in four different units that each explore one phase of the business development process including framing, prototyping, financing, and pitching. It is designed to be a very practical experience and participants will work in interdisciplinary teams on different real-life business projects. Students are welcome to bring their own business proposals to the course.
This course has both strong personal and professional development components. Personal development will occur as students learn to identify their own strengths and weaknesses and work on them in order to successfully manage their dreams and ideas. Students gain professional growth through opportunities to visit different accompanies and start up centers, meeting with entrepreneurs and professionals of different fields, and engage in experiential learning with professional mentors.
This course is designed for a general audience (business and non-business majors) interested in launching their own businesses in the future.
All students registered in this program have the option of taking an additional Spanish language class.
