How much does a program cost?

The cost depends on the program you choose!

As there may be slightly differences between the programs it is always recommended to check the information of the program you are interested in for further details and make sure you understand what is included in the program.

In general terms, our immersion programs include academic advising, pre-departure support, tuition & fees, medical insurance, airport pick-up, onsite orientation & support, experienced professional staff, accommodation (room & board), excursions & cultural activities, meetings with mentors, all activities listed in the program itinerary, and diploma.

It is not included: the cost of Airfare and all other associated air taxes, ticket fees, and any country departure taxes, passports (required), travel visas (where necessary), and any vaccinations or medications (if required)

I am not a US citizen. Can I still apply?

Yes! All of our programs are open to citizens of any country. In case you are interested in any of our immersion programs, you need to check to make sure that there are no travel restrictions from your country to Spain, but we will be here to help you.

I speak little or no Spanish, can I still participate in the program?

No problem! There is no language requirement to participate in our programs, since all our courses are offered in English. A basic command of the Spanish Language is highly recommended (but not required) to relate to different business professionals, mentors and community leaders that you will meet during the program.

In addition, Students who are interested in increasing their linguistic competence in Spanish are invited to consider taking Business Spanish language that is offered as part of the program.

What do I need to do to register for the program?

Fill in the “Apply Now” Form.
Upon receiving your application, we will contact you to confirm your interest and to answer any doubts about the program.
Your admission will be firm once we send you an admission letter by email and we receive your payment for the non-refundable deposit.
The non-refundable deposit is not an additional fee and is deducted from your total program cost.

When do you I have to pay the non-refundable deposit?

You must pay your non-refundable deposit during your application process.

It is very simple; you will receive a secure link and you can pay with your credit card.

Notice that the cost of the program is in Euros and all payments should be made in Euros.

When is my program balance due and how do I pay it?

All account balances must be paid in full 60 days prior to the program start date.

You can make payment by credit card or by wire transfer. Once you confirm your preference, you will receive a secure link to make payment by credit card, or we will send you all bank details to make a wire transfer.

Can I arrive late to the program?

We highly recommend that you start your program on time and with your group. Please contact us if there is going to be a delay in your arrival and we can consider alternative options on a case-by-case basis. We cannot guarantee that services will be the same.

What type of accommodation can I expect in an immersion program?

We focus on safety, cleanliness, location, local ownership, and sustainable environmental practices. What you can expect is that all our accommodations are safe, clean and have all of the amenities you will need. You can also expect to have access to Wi-Fi, fresh drinking water, western style toilets and showers, and laundry services.

The cost of accommodation + board is included in the cost program.

What are the room arrangements in immersion programs?

In most situations you will be sharing a doble room.

You will be staying in dorms in a double room. You can stay with a friend, or we can match you up with a roommate. To do that, we will send you a Housing Questionnaire that you have to complete very carefully and honestly so we can find the right match for you.

Can I reserve a single room if I want to live by myself?

Yes, you can get your own room by paying an extra fee. If this is your option, notify as soon as possible and we will let you know about the extra cost.

Can the program accommodate food allergies/restrictions?

Yes! You can indicate any food allergies/dietary restrictions on your application and if anything changes before your program, please email them to our office.

Do I need a passport and a visa to come to Spain?

You do need a valid passport for the trip overseas.

US students don´t need to apply for a visa because all our programs last less than 90 days. For other countries, please contact us to verify the need for a student visa.

Is Spain a safe country?

Yes! According to different studies, Spain is one of the safest places to live in the world, but it also is the top 4 for the best quality of life. Visitors say that there are three main reasons for coming to Spain: personal safety, the weather, and quality of life! While I can think of many more, let´s just leave it like that.

The biggest concern for visitors and tourists, as with many major American and European cities are pickpocketing and petty crime. With that said, you still have to be careful, just like you are at home. It is always important to be aware of your surroundings, especially in cafes, the metro, and tourist areas. Many thieves are not afraid to engage and distract victims while trying to take a wallet or phone. Conceal your valuables and never walk around with large amounts of cash. Just remember, staying alert and aware of your surroundings will make you a difficult target for pickpockets.

What is the temperature like in Spain in January?

January is considered winter in Spain, and the weather tends to be cool. The average high temperature in January is around 10°C (50°F), while the average low temperature is around 2°C (36°F). However, it's worth noting that these are average temperatures, and actual conditions can vary from year to year.

During January, you can expect cold mornings and evenings, with daytime temperatures reaching their peak in the afternoon. It's advisable to dress in layers and have a coat or jacket handy to stay warm. Additionally, Madrid may experience some rainfall during this month, so it's a good idea to have an umbrella or raincoat with you.

What is the temperature like in Spain in the summer?

Summer is characterized by hot and dry weather. The average high temperatures in the summer months, particularly July and August, can reach around 32°C (90°F) or even higher. It's not uncommon for temperatures to exceed 35°C (95°F) during heatwaves.

The summer season in Madrid is typically dry with limited rainfall. The weather is mostly sunny, and you can expect clear skies and plenty of sunshine. It's important to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat, such as wearing sunscreen, staying in shaded areas when possible, and drinking plenty of water.

It's worth mentioning that these temperature ranges are averages, and there can be variations from year to year. It is recommended that you bring light clothing and maybe a jacket for the evening. Although it will be hot outside both classrooms and dorms are airconditioned.

How do electrical appliances work in Spain?

In Spain, the standard voltage for electrical appliances is 220 volts, and the frequency is 50 hertz (Hz). The power plugs and sockets used in Spain are of Type C and Type F.

Type C plugs have two round pins and are commonly known as Europlugs. Type F plugs also have two round pins but include an additional grounding pin. The sockets in Spain usually accept both Type C and Type F plugs, so you can use appliances with either type of plug.

If you are visiting Spain from a country that uses a different voltage or plug type, you may need a voltage converter or adapter to ensure compatibility with Spanish electrical systems.

It's important to check the voltage and plug type requirements of your specific electrical devices before using them in Spain. Many modern electronic devices such as laptops, smartphones, and camera chargers are often designed to handle a wide range of voltages (typically 100-240 volts) and may only require a plug adapter to fit into the Spanish sockets.

Can I bring my cell phone?

Yes. In fact, we recommend that you bring your phone as a way to stay connected with loved ones back home and to use for things like taking pictures and notes. Wi-Fi and high-speed internet service are available on most of our programs, but you will need to check with your individual carrier to find out about rates for calls, text, and data plans.

This is my first time traveling abroad. Is this, ok?

Yes! We love new travelers and we have designed all our programs to make sure that you feel safe, comfortable, and part of the group.

Will I have free time to explore the city on my own?

Yes, we will provide lots of options for free time activities. We never recommend that students explore on their own. Stick with some of your group members, follow our advice, and explore!

Will I be able to make friends?

Yes! Participants in our programs are from colleges and universities across the country, you will have the chance to meet fellow participants in your dorms, in your classes and on program activities.

An important feature of our programs is that you will be meeting with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals in different fields, so in addition to making friends you will have an excellent opportunity to start building your international professional network.

What should I do in case of an emergency?

Students should always keep phone numbers, emails, and addresses of the program coordinators and onsite Directors, as well as other numbers from the health insurance company and other emergency numbers given during orientation. In case of an emergency, you should call your local coordinator, who will give you specific instructions as to what to do.

How much spending money should I bring?

The amount of spending money can vary greatly depending on personal preferences and interests. However, as a rough estimate, budgeting around 150-250 euros per week for shopping, souvenirs & gifts should provide you with a reasonable range. Adjust this estimate based on your individual preferences during your stay in Spain.

Can I pay by Credit card?

Credit card payment is widely accepted in Spain. Most establishments, including restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions, accept major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. It's a convenient and common method of payment in the city.
