What are you going to do?
The Global Citizenship Program offers one synchronous virtual course (SPIOC) that take place in our virtual space. The courses integrate students from different countries to provide an international virtual environment. In addition to the classes, the program includes various visits, specialized workshops, and roundtables offered by professionals from different institutions and organizations.
As part of the course, students will have to work on a global challenge and provide efficient, affordable, and sustainable solutions. Students will work collaboratively with agile methodologies such as "Design Thinking," forming international and interdisciplinary teams and will have to solve a global challenge.
All proposed challenges and solutions must be aligned with the 2030 SDG.

Basic information
Welcome to Our Virtual Space!
All our courses have our designed SPIOC format (Small Private International Online Courses) to facilitate the learning experience of faculty and students. This is our open space where you will not only get the information you need, you will also explore new worlds, interact with international students, enjoy unique cultural activities while gaining skills you will need to accelerate your career in the global world.

How it Works
The course lasts 45 hours and takes place over one semester in which students meet in synchronous classes via zoom.
The group is in direct contact with the coordination through an exclusive WhatsApp channel and has all the course materials uploaded in a private Google Class.
They will also use different technological apps, Kahoot, Slack, or Miró, to facilitate work and communication in the group work.
Classes are recorded and uploaded in the Google class to facilitate the student's participation.
Academic Program
The program includes one 45-hour class and a 15-hour workshop in which students will work on an international collaborative project using the Design Thinking methodology.
GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
The goal of this program is to explore the concept, responsibilities, and commitment of global citizenship identity in today´s current context. Students will explore the connections between the global and the local, the shared values, and the shared challenges and benefits through the lenses of three major topics: Politics, Identity & Migration.
The program will help students develop understanding and perspectives that constitute global citizenship through engagement with scholars and experts, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and members of local communities addressing Glocal challenges.
INTERNATIONAL
COLLABORATIVE PROJECT
As part of the course, students will design a product, create a prototype, and develop the marketing and merchandising strategy. Students will work collaboratively with agile methodologies such as "Design Thinking," forming international and interdisciplinary teams and will have to solve a global challenge.
The process of conflict resolution, creativity, development planning and design, will take place in different workshops led by professional experts.
Proposed global challenges will be aligned with the 2030 SDG.
Cultural Activities
As part of the course, we will offer you a complete program of virtual activities:

You will also enjoy magnificent visits to museums, Spanish folklore activities and an incredible flamenco show online.

And then, if you want to complete the experience with an immersion trip in Madrid.
Immersion Experience
You can complete the course with an immersive experience in Madrid. The immersion programs, of two weeks duration, are developed in summer or January to be able to adjust to the academic calendar.
They are designed to practice everything you have learned in the Virtual Program and deepen the contents. You will meet your professors, classmates, professionals, and entrepreneurs and visit many of the companies you have studied.
Also, during your stay in Madrid, you can enjoy the rich artistic and historical tradition of the city, the magnificent museums, and the vibrant cultural life of the city.
