INTENTIONAL ONLINE TEACHING: TOOLS (NOT TRICKS) TO TEACHING
As coronavirus continues to disrupt daily routines across the globe, one of the sectors hardest hit has been education and school life. Classes have been canceled, and teachers have been required to turn to online instruction from one day to the next without the necessary training or support.
Although teaching online isn’t completely different from teaching in class, it does require specific techniques, tools, and skills to get the job done. With the right training, educators should be able to comfortably go through the transition and bridge the distance between themselves and students in an online setting.
Through this program in partnership with Clarion University, you will learn new methods, tools, and structures that will help you adapt your classes in order to make them more accessible for students, and more structured for you as a teacher. Even though we hope that we can return to normal next term, we still think remote learning is here to stay. Teaching online has become a new essential skill for 21st Century educators.
