What are you going to do?

The goal of this study trip is to provide students of Fashion and Design with an unforgettable international immersion experience in Spain. Students will learn about the Spanish fashion industry, meet with designers, visit different companies, explore sustainable fashion projects, and participate in the different events that will take place during their stay.

Throughout the program, they will explore the intricate relationship between fashion, society, and culture through time.

The program focuses on the fashion industry and culture:

  • They will explore Madrid´s stage tradition through visits to halls, theaters, and projects of the capital.

  • They will enjoy a complete program of theater plays and shows.

  • Over time, they will learn about the rich historical, literary, artistic, and cultural traditions.

This course is designed for a general audience interested in fashion industry.

Your Destination

Madrid, capital of Spain, is one of the most important, cosmopolitan, and dynamic cities in Europe.  It is one of the international references of the fashion industry and is currently among the 5 most important European cities in the sector, at the height of Paris or Milan. It is also home to some of the most important international Fashion Fairs, festivals, and events.

 

Madrid is also a pleasant city full of history. It is the site of some of the most prestigious museums in Europe, such as the Prado, Thyssen, or Reina Sofia. It is also a friendly city with excellent public transport and incredible parks for walking around, great shopping centers, and plenty of entertainment. It has an amazing gastronomic offer and ... it is the headquarters of Real Madrid.

 

Accommodation

  • Students will stay in a modern student residence in an excellent location in town. It is a new facility that offers excellent services and great open areas for outdoor sports and a swimming pool.

  • The rooms (double/single) are fully equipped with a bathroom and a small kitchen, wardrobes, and air conditioning.

  • The program includes full board (three meals a day) and offers a balanced Mediterranean diet. The cafeteria provides specific menus for people with dietary restrictions or special diets.

Our goal is to provide a direct and practical academic and professional immersion experience. This is why our programs integrate different types of activities, including masterclasses, conferences, presentations, workshops, or round tables as well as visits to companies, institutions, or participation in relevant events of each sector.

 

Our professors are active professionals who combine their professional careers with the practice of teaching; this way we can all benefit from their direct experience in the business world.

As part of the program, students will work on a collaborative project led by our teachers/professionals in the area.

All materials are available in Google Class, so you don't have to buy any books.

Culural Program

Cultural Program

As part of your experience in Madrid, students participate in a complete program of cultural activities, museum visits, guided tours of the city, concerts, theater plays, or shows. Maybe you even want to go to a soccer game!

Cultural visits include:

  • Cultural visits include the Golden Triangle of Art which consists of the Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza, or the Reina Sofia home to the famous Picasso´s Guernica.

  • Exploring famous royal sites, such as the Royal Palace, and the Royal Theater, while walking through the Plaza de Oriente.

  • Enjoy the walking tours through the ol Habsburg Madrid, Plaza Mayor, or Puerta del Sol.

  • Have a taste of Spanish gastronomy at the local markets of San Antonio or San Miguel.

The program includes different one day excursions designed to help students familiarize themselves with the rich history, art, architecture, and culture of the country.

 

Toledo, Segovia, La Granja or El Escorial are some of the most popular destinations around Madrid.

General Information

When budgeting for your trip, keep in mind that the only thing that is not included is travel, local transportation and personal expenses.  Everything else is included in the program cost.
